HEALTH AND FITNESS


Health and fitness is very much related to one and another and influence each other in order to achieve optimum state of wellbeing. Health and fitness are the real wealth and the key in order to lead a long peaceful, enjoyable and harmonious life. Being healthy and fit in simple term means taking good care of the body as a whole which is mind, body and soul. An unhealthy and unfit person will not be able to enjoy their life to full extent.


Health is defined as the state of wellbeing in which the body of one person does not only free from illness and injury, but also being able to perform daily routine activity in smooth and perfect order. On top of this, it must be balanced with the mental state: which is mind and soul, that need to be in good state to lead a happy and fulfilled life. It is also important to eat proper, nutritious and clean food in balanced amount at the right time. Proper and adequate sleeping pattern also play an important role to achieve good health.


Fitness represents the body physical strength and ability to carry out daily tasks with vigor and alertness, without undue fatique and ability to sustain physical exertion. According to the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans set forth by the US Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), there are five components of physical fitness namely Cardiorespiratory fitness, Musculoskeletal fitness, Flexibility, Balance and Speed. In order to improve your fitness you need to do exercise


Maintaining a healthy body is not difficult but not that easy also. Physically fit people have a lower risk of chronic disease, reduced instances of illness, better mental health and overall high quality of life. In order to keep the body in good condition, regular exercise and physical activity can improve your health and fitness, boosting your quality of life by reducing your risk of diseases and injuries.


The American Heart Association advises at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic activity which is equal to30 minutes a day for five days a week. How much exercise you need depends on your age and health. There are seven ways that exercise can lead you to a happier, fitter and healthier you. Exercise can controls weight, prevents illness, lift up your mood, boost energy, promotes better sleep, sparks intimacy and improve state of mind.


Content branding in relation to Health and Fitness is all about creating awareness, encouragement and to promote the importance of keeping health and fitness at the optimum level. As much as this awareness should start at an early age at school level, it is much more crucial to keep the motivation level continuously uplift until end of life.


The plan and measures needed to ensure this to be established can be done in a form of school holiday camp activities, Health week with fun and games activity at all level : school, companies and community centres, Health campaign and promotion packages for corporate clients, coupon and vouchers redemption in collaboration with grocery stores and many more.


The passion to visualize strong and healthy citizen can only be achieved by education in many ways and social media is the most popular in trend platform to get all the attention now. Malaysian Top influencers in fitness like Terrence Teo, Nana Al Haleq and Joanna Soh, all comes from the background of physical trainer and nutrition coach and fitness instructor. There is none from the medical background especially therapist in person for personal branding. With the background of knowledge from the therapist point of view, we can add on wider scope of awareness on the part of prevention and awareness for all age.

My future hope is that to establish a group of dedicated and passionate team who can provide community friendly approach to everyone be it young and old of any background and heath condition. Everyone deserves to be happy and healthy.
